They are normally pretty rare in my area so it has been pretty cool seeing these critters during this irruption. At least here they seem very skittish and nervous and this is probably a reflection of being in a new and unfamiliar habitat.

When I first took a look a this photo, I said that looks like a Gold Finch. They seem to be popping up in a lot of places in my area, just like the Pine Siskens, which I have not see since 2009. I hope I capture one here in my area this season.
