It certainly is not as recessed that's for sure but not seeing it as an issue. Would I prefer all the goodies in an A7r body. Sure! Will have to wait till I get to the hotel tonight to set it up and play around with it.

Everything else felt the same. I had no ergonomic handling issues with the LCD. Have not used on a tripod yet.
Notice my A74 screen protector? the 5 screen protector is back-ordered with B&H and I wanted something on it.
I love identical. I can set them up exactly the same. I made that right top dial AF select. Like that as I can lock it

The screen protector from the EOS R5 doesn’t fit. While the diagonal on the R5 and RV are both 3.2 the aspect ratios are not the same I checked since I have an R5 screen protector. Basically the Sony screen is the same width as the A7IV but taller to give is the extra room for a 3.2 in diagonal. The Canon screen is wider than it and shorter. So any of the Sony screen protectors are about the right width but shorter than they should be.
Amazon had two different A7RV screen protectors on their site that are not from Sony but they are being shipped from overseas so may take 10-15 days to get here. Already received an email from stating that. I bought a set from each vendor.
