Judging by the photos of his camera he was using the lightweight L plate which doesnt extend to the grip area. Hopefully the full size one fits too. I found RRS hopeless at shipping my A1 grip. One of their employees confessed they had an issue with the design at one point in my almost year long wait...

I don't believe the dimensions of where the bracket attaches are different. Albert Dros said the RRS L bracket for the a7R IV fit on the a7R V.

Was talking to Adorama today. I was slow with my pre-order (10/28) and apparently my expected delivery date is late January/early Feb.
still undecided and now it seems like I have more time to decide
don't need all the new features but certainly want some of them because they are nice improvements but I have no false hopes that it will help my photographic skills/artistry.
Some of the new features will make my hobby more enjoyable from a user-experience
* high resolution EVF with higher magnification
* larger LCD with more resolution
* super duper tilting swiveling LCD
* Focus bracketing
* Better Image Stabilization
* Insect tracking - when hiking, trying to get hand-held sharp images of bugs on flowers w/ a shallow DOF is a challenge
Not happy the A7RV is slightly larger and heavier but I do like the overall ergonomics of the FF Sony body over smaller bodies (A6x, A7C)
The A74 @33MP is a nice compromise for cropping and high ISO performance and I have no need to print larger then 2x3 for home display. Not surprised that with with a higher pixel density the A7RVwill have more noise at higher ISOs but even with the 16-35 PZ and 24-105 both @f/4, rarely see ISO >2,000 and for low light I have the 35GM/1.4
It will be interesting to see if some of the compact primes will be adequate for use on the 61Mp sensor. That would be cool travel setup instead of the larger zooms I use.

Yea I could be shooting myself in the foot. That’s what’s holding me back and part of it is just Gas as I’m still trying to figure out if I’m retired or not. This specific gig is always for me to do. My wife runs this show as well as me as I do all the production on it. Lol
I can’t be fired.
But as you called it , this may not work as well too
Get what you want and what makes you happy, Guy. It is as simple as that!
But I’m not sure that the electronic shutter on the A7r5 is going the cut the mustard after you have been used to the A1, so rent the A7r5 before selling the A1! That is the only decent advice to give from me…

I think the OP for this question was looking for any option.....that someone "knows" will be a correct fit for the a7R V LCD. So I would imagine he'd want to know any options, including eBay and Amazon sources. But specifically which will fit correctly, which is probably the bigger challenge.

Ok, sorry....didn't know that from your post. There is also one on sale from Amazon Japan, but it's not glass.....so I'm not sure you'd be interested.

I've ordered stuff from Amazon JP, you can often get certain things very reasonably....for things that I can't imagine returning. Sometimes faster than getting it shipped within the states.
I can't remember, I thought I was able to log in with my US account, but I had to add payment. Maybe I'm misremembering or something has changed since then.

I have received an order update from B&H saying my Alpha 7R V is estimated to ship on December 6. I am in the US. I placed the pre-order within an hour after the pre-order started.
Adobe will likely take a long time again. Im pretty sure they have a deal with Canon. Raw support for the Canon R7 and R10 was implemented pretty much from the start. For Sony bodies it takes months, or there isn't a profile at all, like for the new 24-70GMII. As a Sony shooter one is much better off to use Capture One. Better demosaicing of the Sony raws included.

In fairness Adobe were pretty quick at getting a1 support out of the door, within a week of when I received mine which was in the first batch to retail in the UK.
