and your going to have to pay 7000 for it.
Better than 4000 towards whatever the A7R5 is trying to be
I can't fathom spending that much on a non-stacked sensor (GFX aside) when anything back to the A7Rii takes nearly identical photos for multiple applications.
The A7R5 is the perfect honeytrap to see who has GAS the worst. It's overpriced at launch in the middle of the worst inflation in 50 years, has bad rolling shutter, has a relatively slow max effective burst rate, and has so/so video specs. It's been interesting to see that the only videos on it that exist are from all of the typical Sony shills that flock to Kando.
Regarding reviews, I really wish camera companies would work with the photo software companies to get the profiles out there early and in time for pre-release reviews. I'm so tired of hearing "you're about to see JPEGs because nothing will open the RAW files yet". No one is buying this camera for the jpegs.

I can't fathom spending as much time as you seemingly do posting in the forums of camera systems that you don't shoot.

That is a perfectly expected response from someone that switches systems and thinks it will make a hill of beans difference in his images

Dumbass has personal attacks as usual. At least you are a blatant shill with that user name, no hiding your agenda!
I could shoot a potato with an eyeglass lens at this point. I like tech. I like playing with toys. I don't have to justify anything to anyone, least of all people who can't walk the walk when it comes to posting images.
I'd still be shooting Sony too, if they hadn't messed up the A1 badly enough to make it unpurchasable to me. The behavior of Sony since then has only reinforced that decision.

So you don't want to justify anything to anyone, but you write an entire post that basically boils down to "I don't like this camera, anybody that buys it is an idiot with GAS."
Complain about "personal attacks" while calling multiple people shills.

I have Gas it’s kept me even interested in this Profession for 46 years I made a lot of money and I’m entitled to buy anything I freaking want. GAs has a more important affect than anyone cares to realize. It’s also for your well being of being engaged keeping you interested and having some fun with your Profession. More important I’m after feature sets and specs that can help me in what I do. So when I hear I got GAS I could give a shit as most times it comes from jealous people but more likely won’t buy this stuff anyway. I just ignore that BS. I’m 66 I buy whatever I think I need . It’s pretty simply and BTW I have well over 20k posts on this forum 98 percent are actually helping others with their decisions. I ask rarely for any help but I did today on mid zooms as I really never tested them and I won’t watch you tube morons but I will ask members their thoughts which helped me today too. In regard to this A7R5 the only real downside I see is electronic shutter. There is some really nice features but I’m still deciding if it works for me

Bigger issue is raw processing software on release. I need it immediately so that could be an issue for some of us. I have zero patience on that

No offence but it does seem a little ironic or in plain english a bit like "the pot calling the kettle black" given at one time you had a lot to say about capturing swallow images and, unless I have missed something, you have yet to produce any of your own

You’d think they’d have this figured out by now. It’s not like the camera manufacturers don’t know the release dates half a year ahead of time.

Saw a video a week or two ago, think the guy was French. I believe he had a prerelease Adobe LR with a7R V support. Unless things were lost in translation.
I realize this is out of the price window you're looking for, but it might mean that other cheaper options for the a7R IV might fit the V as well.

Anyone find a reasonably ($40-70) priced L bracket made for the camera yet? I see that the dimensions are slightly larger than the A1 or A7rIV.

I don't believe the dimensions of where the bracket attaches are different. Albert Dros said the RRS L bracket for the a7R IV fit on the a7R V.
