FWIW, the (made in China) SUNWAYFOTO L-bracket for the A7Riii works just fine on the A7Rv. The current version is for the A7Riv.
It has a flip-out butterfly wing on the screw, so you don't need a screwdriver, and it allows the flip-out screen to flip out (with only extremely minor limitation). And it's surprisingly well made.
(Dunno if these are available in the real world: I got mine from Amazon Japan. Under US$100 then, more like US$ 60 nowadays. The model number (for the Riv version) is PSL-a7Riv (where "a" is a lower-case alpha). It's possible the Riv version doesn't work on the Rv.)

Some dealers here are not too happy. The good news is, Sony will be shipping all their pre-ordered cameras this week; the bad news is, sales are embargoed until December 6, and Sony requires payment within 15 days of the date they ship the goods to the dealers...
I guess this is when it sucks if people place multiple orders with different stores. The dealers have less than a week to pay for the cameras they receive, whether they are sold or not.

Are there any sites with A7RV RAW files to download?
I have access to Adobe LR Prerelease versions so I was wanting to see if my current version supports them already.

So US dealers will get their inventory this week but they cannot sell it to customers until December 6?

Still hard to tell how much of an improvement over previous cameras it actually is...
It's kinda irrelevant at least to me when someone else does tests hand holding and shooting. They are not me The consensus from the multiple reviews I have seen is that it's better. Doesn't matter if your shooting Canon, Nikon or Sony. Different people will get different results based on how they shoot and technique they use. So for me I'll be happy with better, regardless if that turns out to be 6, 7 or 8 stops. Better is better

Would someone who has the Sony a7R V be so kind and write here how large are the file sizes in HEIF (4:2:2) compared to JPEG, both in best quality (Extra fine) ?
Thank you.

So yes, my prerelease version of LR does open the A7RV ARW file.
So now it just depends on when Adobe is ready to release the next version to the public.

LR was already opening the files if you changed the metadata to the A7R4 since the files are essentially the same, saw at least one reviewer pulling that stunt.

Yes that's also how I'm importing my A7RV files into LR right now.

Yeah, that's what I'm looking for as well. So, far I've seen only 1 review, where there's a comparison done to a previous model, which ultimately shows whether there is visible improvement or not...
I can shoot 1/10s @70mm now, but it definitely is not super reliable so I'd like to know how it would look in my hands on A7RV .

I'm surprised at the lack of user reviews on the forums for this camera. Surely there is someone on here outside the US that's received a unit. No one is willing to share their opinion of it so far?

Some people in the US already got the 7RM5, they are just not allowed to share too much before the official release date.
