Well, I lucked out. Today my dealer called to say one of their NPS customers cancelled his order so they are shipping my Z9 today. So far they have not received any units for non-NPS.
Thank goodness for the cancelations, thats pretty much how mine panned out. I still have one ordered with Amazon from 10/28 8:15am and it still says well notify you when available. I didnt have a lot of faith in Amazon after my dealer told me Nikon wasnt sending them many due to Amazon trying to dictate how many units they would receive and Nikon was like, "only we dictate that."

Any non-NPS getting deliveries from B&H yet? I received confirmation of order at 8:06am EST but no Z9 yet...
Another forum is tracking the date / time / order #'s from B&H (from about 40 members that ordered Z9's from there) and so far, *IIRC* they have only shipped up to those members reporting their order confirmation up to 8:02 AM ET on 10/28. There have been no more reports (from those members) since the first shipment from B&H. They had asked if non-NPS and that info wasn't always provided.
From the spread of times and confirmation time / order #'s that the person keeping the info has, they extrapolated ~90 orders per minute for the first few minutes. Of course no exact number of orders known for Z9's for those orders.
Of course this is from a sample of members that reported the date / time / order # from B&H for their Z9 and is only supposition from that small sample.

I should be getting close then. I ordered at 8:28 EST so 8 minutes behind you. Fingers crossed.
Good luck! I was monitoring my order pretty closely, and it sat at "backordered" until my credit card was charged $1 yesterday, and then quickly the remaining balance (I get notifications on my phone of card charges, so I see exactly when it happens). Something less than two hours later my order said "processing" on Adorama's site. I got a tracking number and email shortly thereafter.
Long story short, you probably won't see much, but if you want to obsess, the first thing you'll see is the card charge. If you don't want to obsess, just wait for the email!

After a weather delay, I got mine yesterday. It took the better part of the day to get it dialed in and I went and shot aerials with my drone while the battery charged. All I can say is wow, what a camera!

Anyone preorder from Service Photo in Baltimore?
I preordered in November. Curious if anyone has received theirs and if so, when you preordered...
I pre-ordered from them on October 30th. Nothing as of yet.

Ok that helps! I "accidentally" preordered on November 30th. I wasn't initially interested in the Z9, but now I am. Glad I somehow ended up on that preorder list... It looks like I'll be waiting a while still though.
If you remember, let us know when you receive it! I'd be curious to see how long of a gap it takes to fulfill both of our orders.

If you ordered on 11-30 and are not NPS, I think you are likely looking at Summer. I hope I am wrong and you get it much sooner.

Gee and my guess would have been if you were not an NPS member the flow of camera bodies would begin end of January. And if someone was so fortunate to have ordered prior to November would almost certainly be getting one in their hands by March worst case. I think summer is an absurd consideration unless Nikon flat out, ran out of parts.

He ordered the last day of November, not prior to November.

This is also ignoring the fact that Nikon, like most other companies, likely has in fact run out of parts. IE semi-conductors.
I don't know if November orders will be until Summer but it will be closer to Summer than Spring unless the backlog was mostly NPS customers and now the gates are opened. However, based off most recent releases in the past two years during Covid, I'd expect 6-8 months.

It’s my understanding NPS orders have been fulfilled. At least locally.
I don’t mind waiting til summer, I’m also waiting on a van I ordered in October and that will also likely be summer or fall. Looking forward to warmer days and new toys!
