I really love this lens for landscape. I find it to have a fantastic focal length range and is really sharp. Here are a couple I took when travelling between Nevada and California last month at the beginning of my sabbatical (which is just now wrapping up). These were all taken with an A7RV

How was the AF with the adapter? I recently picked up Z8 (also have A7rV), so thinking about buying Sony version instead of Nikon one.
I have used it only to cover a party, obviously with human subjects, and it worked fine and I had no AF issues. I cannot comment on its performance with other subjects (eg birds/wildlife) where AF acquisition and tracking can get more challenging and more critical.

That’s great to hear. I ordered the MegaDap and was planning to make the 35-150 my main lens on the Z8 because I like it so much. I will definitely try it first with the Sony version. It seems like I am 50-50 on the Sony between the Tamron and gm2’s depending on my size/weight/lens changing/focal length priorities. The tamron files are every bit as good and in some cases better. I mainly got the Z8 because I miss Nikon files and feel, for access to their super tele lenses, and to use with my Zeiss Otus lenses. Pretty excited to try it. I am not getting rid of my A1 though. I went from many Nikon bodies (D500, D850, Z7, D5, Z6ii) to many Sony bodies 2x A9, A7Riv) down to a single A1. Kind of weird to open this can of worms again. I really miss the 28 1.4E, 58G, and 105 1.4E. Sony primes are fantasticly perfect but none have that kind of character.

I ended up getting this lens and love it. I used this thread to checkout images produced by this lens as this is the most active thread about the 35-150.
I agree with everything that I have read in reference to IQ.. It is simply exceptional.
I use it with the Nikon Z9 and it has become my go to lens for on location portraits.
This is from a recent on location shoot taken at 150mm f3.5

My daughter is involved in a local theater company, and she usually does all of their production photography. A couple of times now I have stepped in as back up when she is in the show herself. That's the case with their current production of Spring Awakening.
I took my daughter to dress rehearsal last night (she's 14) and stayed to shoot the show. It was my first time using the Tamron - which I primarily got for her to use in her theater photography - and, man, it's just perfect for this application. The baseline range is incredibly useful in the theater setting, and at 150mm I could slip the a7rV into crop mode for tight, expressive portraits of the actors.
This was the first of the "tech week" rehearsals and the actors' first run through in this space, so the lighting was pretty inconsistent (many shouts of "find your light!" were heard from the director) - and I'm *not* a professional - but the keeper rate was pretty high for me, and the actors were excited to have some mementos from the production (they are also not professionals, and do this as a hobby).
All in all a great experience, and the Tamron was awesome! I do struggle with the LED light banding in this setting (I don't want to use the mechanical shutter in a theater, even during a dress rehearsal), but that's not the lens's fault... maybe one day I'll have a global shutter, and that will solve the issue! Here's a sampling of the shots from last night:
