Can I ask what some of your pictures camera settings were like iso, shutter speed, and fstop? They are so clear and no noise either. They look amazing. Also about how close were you? Sorry for all the questions.. Trying to improve myself ^_^

Thank you, and of course...
The lens was mostly wide open the whole time, so most are f2-2.8 with shutter speeds between 1/100 and 1/250 (I found the sweet spot for minimizing the banding from the LEDs while still being able to freeze the actors' movements to be 1/200, so I tried to stay there as much as possible), and ISOs up to 16,000. I shot RAW in manual mode with auto ISO. Processing was in Adobe Camera Raw ver. 16.1.

A couple of pictures related to the above posts (performing arts), also taken in poor light, processed in DxO PL7 using DeepPRIME XD denoising
I do have a general preference to limit auto ISO by 3200 when shooting people. Human faces suffer too much at high ISO compared to other subjects.

I've found I'm more bothered by motion blur than by ISO artifacts, but that's just down to personal preference.
I definitely try to pull the SS down when the scene isn't so frenetic, but 1/100-1/125 seemed to be giving me the worst banding. I expect that's not really an issue with the A1 though. Unfortunately a pretty big issue with the rV and it's relatively glacial readout.

I'm getting really tempted to buy this lens after seeing the images posted in this thread.
Looking for a used one, as I know 3rd party lenses tend to lose more value (from MSRP) than Sony GM. And because I'm still not 100% convinced how I will feel with the weight and size.
Have you heard of some copy variation of this lens that can affect the sharpness ?
(I tried 2 copies of the 24-70 GMII and returned both because of some sharpness issues. However all my Tamron lenses so far, 28-75 G2, 150-500mm, 70-300mm were all good )

I remember one case of what was reported on the Sony forum as an abnormally soft Tamron 35-150. The one I own is the only one I tried and when I tested it I could not be happier with the purchase.

I have received the 35-150mm today.
Quickly tried a few focal length / aperture combinations, and they look great at > 50mm . However at 33-40mm f/2-f/2.8, the left side is significantly less sharp than the right side. Looks like I got a bad copy.
I repeated the test multiple times to make sure it wasn't a user error. Same issue with other subjects. I initially thought I missed the focus, and also tried with MF and I can clearly see it's just significantly softer on the left.
After another bad copy of the 24-70GMII received last week, I thought I was going to finally find the right lens...
I understand zoom lenses are difficult to make but I wish they had better QA before sending them to the retailers.

I tried 2 copies and they were quite similar, though the 2nd was more uniform at long distances but less sharp when focused relatively close, which I couldn't really explain...

Was it like mine in the 35-40mm range wide open ?
The rest of the focal range, fully open, is very good. But 35-40 mm at f/2 is one of the selling points for me, so it goes back. It’s a brand new lens from the store, I really don’t like returning lenses.

I don't remember for sure, but most likely it was somewhere close to 35mm...

And did you get a good copy at the end, or you just returned both and didn't try again?
I kept the 1st copy, it's not perfect but acceptable for a zoom (for me). I was mostly interested in close to medium distances performance, as it's mostly a people lens for me. So I can live with one weaker corner at infinity ...

In my case it's the opposite. Infinity is fine. But close/medium distance is not usable off center on the left (not even in the extreme edge or corner).
