Some more shots just for reference for those interested in the lens. These all have almost no PP - just raising exposure a tad. (except for editing out the dog's red rocket )
I must say, it is really really nice being able to go from 35mm on the wide end to immediately cranking it in to 150mm for a close up. It's a big heavy lens no doubt, but that sure is a nice focal range for a lot of the stuff I do.
Further below are some of the few shots that are usably in focus of the dog running a couple days ago. My A7RIV can't seem to keep locked on his eyes no matter what lens I use (probably my error in my settings), so I found my hit rate to be neither better nor worse than the crap results I've ever gotten with any lens I own when he's running right at me. Regardless of lens, my camera in that situation focuses on his collar, if that. I imagine an A9 would have a far better hit rate in that scenario.
Last shot is taken inside at night in fairly low light. AF had no problem focusing on his eye.
