Was going back through some images to find something to print for a wall in our travel trailer and found this from my old NEX7 days.

Re: the old 18-200mm lens. I had dropped the NEX-7 with that lens in the river at Zion National Park in Utah. I have pretty fast reactions for an old guy, and got them out of the water quickly. The lens kept working, but ended up with water spots inside. The body died.
Sent them both to Sony for repair. The lens came back "non-repairable" and the NEX-7 came back working perfectly.
About a year later, I decided to take it apart. Did, fixed it and it is still working perfectly. It was an easy repair so I have no idea why Sony could not clean the inside of the front lens, if I could!?!

Adapted 400mm is enough, sometimes.
While going back through a trip in 2014, where all I had for wildlife was an adapted Canon 400L f5.6 on my NEX-7, first generation, I came across this, which I have printed in our vacation home.
That was a great lens, but I had to manual focus the while time I used it. Tough, and often frustrating, for wildlife.
The crop shows the detail. (actually, the main image is a portrait crop of a landscape shot - not bad for a 24MP APS-c).
