Well I've been off these boards for some time - I managed to pop in once a month or so ago just as I was in the process of moving my office - it took time to get caught up and organized, refurnishing, IT work, etc - and then I've been dealing with a step-father in need of assisted living and trying to find a good place after a hospitalization then a few short-term rehab transfers...I just haven't had the time to post online the past two months...but I have still been shooting on the occasional weekend - and now I need to get caught up a bit.
The following shots were mostly taken around my local wetlands, Green Cay and Wakodahatchee, in S Florida, though I and also sneaking in a few shots taken in my backyard while cooling off in my pool - I bring the camera poolside in case any interesting backyard wildlife comes along.
The following were taken between April 29th and May 7th, with a Sony A6600, and either the FE 200-600mm G lens or FE 100-400mm GM lens, noted in the descriptions. EXIF should be intact.
Another backyard visitor - one of the local raccoon family who live in a giant banyan tree, and love to eat the fallen seeds from the bird feeders - even if I'm in the pool 30 feet away in the middle of the afternoon - they're used to me (200-600): https://pbase.com/zackiedawg/image/173622013/original.jpg
You mean Ed Hass / aka Ed at Ridersite? I haven't seen any posts lately - but his Zenfolio site is still updating with new shots into July 2023 - so he's out and about. Looks like he never returned to DPR either - so he may just not be posting on any boards for the moment.
Here's another batch of shots to catch up on the summer's shooting...the following were all taken from May 13th to May 27th, around the Wakodahatchee Wetlands and Green Cay Wetlands in S. Florida. All shots taken with the Sony A6600, and two lenses - the FE 100-400mm GM OSS, and the FE 200-600mm G OSS - I've noted the lens used in each caption.
