What is the adapter you are using on the A7Rii with Canon lenses. Thanks
I used the Novoflex adapter. The FD 500 L's aperture control lever doesn't work well with some adapters; the Novoflex adapter's aperture control pin is long enough to work correctly with this lens.
Wow, lot's of great photos!! And some birds that we need on our (wife, Alison, and I) list.
Least Bittern in the wet. Apopka Wildlife Drive, Central Florida.
The detail and noise control is so amazing with the A9 and 100-400 combo, even with the TC, that I had to post a crop, too.
I have been experimenting with using a slightly higher f-stop and living with the resultant, higher ISO. Seems like the lens does a bit better stopped one higher. (normally f8 with the 100-400).

I usually use my D500 for wildlife, but I have used Sony off and on and thought I would share some images to help get your thread going.
A Mount. I would say performance is good as long as you don't have a fast flyer. I've been happy with it so far. Of course it worked better on my A99II (Which is now for sale on B&S) Ziggy99 wrote:
Which mount?
How do you find the AF performance?
TIA.

The first 3 are with a manual focus Nikon 500mm f/4p lens. The last ones were shot with the Sony A mount 70-400 lens on an LA-EA4 adapter.
So glad to hear this. I was wondering about that 70-400 a mount. Wow, it looks really sharp. I have this crazy older 100-500 Minolta MD manual focus lens that is shockingly sharp. I think I'll give it more credit and stop wishing for the costly Sony 100-400 GM. That's a lotta groceries.
