Hope that one's a hoax, was planning on a 400 f5.6
Unfortunately, it looks legit, especially when you consider that it echos the heads up that Ben gave us via this thread. I like the $200 reduction in the 40d but will sure miss the triple rebates this year :/

Guys- what about combining this with the pixima9000 deal...
my math...(BH)
40D(1139)+Printer(429)-200(canon rebate)-300(40D+printer rebate)-370(printer on ebay)
comes out to around $700 for the 40d body
would this work?
Yes. IF:
1) Amazon doesn't change their prices for both body and printer after the Canon rebate is in effect, and
2) You can get $370 NET from selling the printer on ebay.
You need to factor in the selling costs of ebay/paypal which is about 7% of your auction final value. Most people don't consider this, but its about $25. Also, $370 will likely be a littlle high for the printer since you won't be the only one with the same idea, and the supply of "new in box" Pro9000 will increase significantly. I would more conservatively estimate getting $300 for the printer, less the selling fess.

OK, so we have the rebates coming in. SIGMA4LESS has the 40D for 999$ right now. Are we saying it's going to be 799$, same as XSi!!! Or is S4L a non-rebate outfit?
ADORAMA and B&H at 1139$, but some of you are saying the price may come up at the rebate kicks in, so not to hope for a 939$ 40D quite yet, but maybe....?

James, not sure this will make you feel any better, but while the CDN rebate looks good on paper, you're still better off on the bigger ticket items being south of the border without any rebate than we are in Canada even after the rebate.
You alluded to the CDN 300 2.8 rebate. Yes, that was a suprise, but...
the largest(?) retailer in Ontario, Henry's Camera, currently has the 300L f/2.8 priced at $4,749.99. Knock $300 off that price using the double rebate and it's still $349 higher than the current B&H regular price.
Not to mention I'd pay $617.50 in taxes on that lens here (13%). I'm guessing if you buy online from out of state, you pay no tax down there.
Add it all up and you are almaost $1K ahead on that item, with no rebate.
Granted, I can do a bit better if I shop around, but still, not better enough.
And our rebate is a, ugh, mail-in.
While some items are closer in price (40D for example), I'd still rather have your great pricing and moderate rebates, than our good rebates and crappy pricing.
Things could be worse i guess.
We could have to pay European pricing. Yikes.

good point Greg.
As a matter of fact, you can still get it for less than B&H's current price so we're still better off. I thought I heard that prices had fallen to the US levels, but I guess I'm mistaken...
