Just letting you guys know that rebates are on the way. Lenses and bodies. 5D gets $300, the 40D is on there as well. Some of the typical lenses are on it. 85L, 35L, 70-200mm 4 IS, 70-200mm 4, 580EX, 430EX, etc. This is not a complete list... just some of the standouts.

If it's double rebates oh my oh my! I may convince my wife to be that I absolute NEED the 2.8 IS!!!

If it's a sweet deal to buy 2 lenses and a 5D, I may just do it!

You say they are on the way. Are they 5D on the way, or are they like this week/next week on the way?

Similar to what's said, but 200$ on the 5D, instead of 300$. Hopefully the US gets a double rebate promotion (crossing fingers).

Randy, my fiance has this penchant for handbags and purses. She loves these vera bradely bags.

She was jacked when i started looking at lenses, but I said if I can get the lenses, she can get a purse! I'd even buy it! Maybe you could try that kind of bribery. I don't think she did the math 2400 without rebates vs 50$ for a handbag, but hey if I can get the gear then it's too late!

I don't remember 35L on any typical rebate list ...
