p.1 #1New Canon Rebates
Just letting you guys know that rebates are on the way. Lenses and bodies. 5D gets $300, the 40D is on there as well. Some of the typical lenses are on it. 85L, 35L, 70-200mm 4 IS, 70-200mm 4, 580EX, 430EX, etc. This is not a complete list... just some of the standouts.

I just bought a 40d, should I send it back to get the rebate? DAM, I knew this would happen. It is not even here yet. Where do I see what it is?

So does that make the 5d 1700-1800? That's very tempting.

YYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!!!
24-70, 70-200 2.8, HERE I effin' come!
If it's double rebates oh my oh my! I may convince my wife to be that I absolute NEED the 2.8 IS!!!
If it's a sweet deal to buy 2 lenses and a 5D, I may just do it!
You say they are on the way. Are they 5D on the way, or are they like this week/next week on the way?

Yup, I'm pretty sure he does. Not sure what dealer, but I have little doubt the rebate info is legit.

It sounds like the Canon Canada current rebate promotion.
This is the link to the Canadian rebate promo,

Similar to what's said, but 200$ on the 5D, instead of 300$. Hopefully the US gets a double rebate promotion (crossing fingers).

Randy, my fiance has this penchant for handbags and purses. She loves these vera bradely bags.
She was jacked when i started looking at lenses, but I said if I can get the lenses, she can get a purse! I'd even buy it! Maybe you could try that kind of bribery. I don't think she did the math 2400 without rebates vs 50$ for a handbag, but hey if I can get the gear then it's too late!

So how does the double rebate work before? If I get a 5D and a lens, do I get $600 rebate from the 5D
That would be SWEET!
