Wow, that's an awesome picture of the phases of the moon eclipse, Rey !
I believe the problem with the first post on a new page not showing up until a second one is added is caused by a deletion of a post on an earlier page.
This act for some reason messes up the algorithm of pagenumbers.
The administrators / moderators know how to fix it.
It happened now and then to the huge Leica DMR monsterthread on the alternative board, at the time when the Leica gentlemen were still around.
Anyway, if you don't see the latest post all you need to do is to add 1 to the pagenumber in the url and the last post will show up on top of the next page.
Well, while I'm at it I might as well post this snapshot of two women ...Show more →
Yo thanks bro...
Yeh, the page thing...we all need to thank Nikt for that .
...and another one from my archives...geez, when will I ever finish scanning them . Taken last 2003 with my Nikon F4e and my Nikkor 20mm f2.8 Ais, loaded with a Velvia 100F. This is a straight scan (IT8 calibrated of course) and there were no PS mambo wambo stuff and no cropping too, except the casual dust cleaning. That's all and have fun!
Bob .. that looks wicked. A real machine.
How many autofocus points did that have? I bet it was less than 51 ... probably less than 11 even. How the heck did we do it back then?
... ah the good ol days. When men were men and boys ... stayed on the porch due to manual metering.
Again a reminder that these are the good old days! BTW, even if you still had it Nikon USA won't fix it anymore. You have to send it back to Japan for service.
dj, Art & Pavel - Thanks for joining in on the memories! The rest of the story is; I was rock climbing, and watched the thieves breaking into my VW bus about a half mile away at the trail head. I remember the HUGE helpless feeling!
Now, the payback is, I'm fourteenth on the list for a D300
shot hand held (thank God for VR) @ 300mm 1/60 f/5.6 through a very dirty window. It took quite some post processing to get acceptable. I'm still not quite happy with the colours but the more I look at the picture the more I like it.
dang.... do you happen to have a video on youtube?? I saw a similar example in video form... a guy was distracted in an airport/train station in in Holland and had his bag stollen with D200 + lenses etc in it.... wonder if the buggers even knew what they were getting....
when will petty crimes stop.... when will we ALL respect eachother ( know... I'm as guilty as any one when it comes to tolerence/judgement...)
