I shot the A7R5 professionally for over a year, probably used it for 20ish indoor shoots and 10ish outdoor shoots. Raw colors are not perfect straight out of camera. They take a lot of massaging to get the garments, skin tones, make up and hair to look right. Not saying it can't be done, but it's a royal pain. I've shot for a few brands that required raws and they've shared that pain. Colors are good and better than previous sensors but saying they are 'perfect' is wild. To each their own I guess.

I have very limited experience with Fuji. But it does feel way more premium than the X100vi I tried previously for sure. Still in setup and learning stage myself. But initial use of the tracking seems better than I remember. The peaking seems very accurate with the voigtlander 27mm as well. Tilt screen is nice and tight which is great, very solid feeling in use. It really does offer alot in a compact package.

Maybe because these are fully made in Japan they'll be more quality control.

Still waiting to hear that mine has shipped. Thought I would hear already but no luck yet. I guess ordering it in the first two hours was not soon enough.
Confirmed with B&H my order time was 7:28 AM on June 12th which was less than 1 hour and 28 minutes into the preorder window. Ordered a black version kit if anyone want to know.

Welcome to the dark side. Sony forced me into the X-E5 because of their stupid flip/fixed screen logic on all their compact bodies. For what it is worth. I'm still learning the Fuji menu's but the camera is brilliant. I have it paired with the Voigtlander f2 27mm. It's a great lens. Just wish the focus and aperture were reversed.

Having used the A7CR too you'll probably want to add the grip. I have the SmallRig one (not sure anyone else is making one yet) and it makes a world of difference.

I ordered a black body with lens kit from B&H on the first day of preorders before 8:40am. Still crickets...no word or updates from B&H. Seems like B&H had camera bodies without lenses to ship last Thursday the 21st and on Thursday the 14th. So I am hoping for good news tomorrow (Thursday the 28th).

Oh wow, I might be in for a very long wait. I didn't order until July 21. Hopefully, Fujifilm ramped up production some.

FWIW, I chatted with B&H today, and they do not know when they will receive more of the X-E5s in any configuration. They have the silver body only in stock now, that is it.

I ordered one from a local shop and he said they are shipping black kits out tomorrow. He said Fuji put a hold on them until 8/29. So maybe they'll be some movement now.
