Tried my hand at photographing a bullet from a handgun today. This was done using pre-capture at 120 fps as well a the shutter at 120 fps. My brother-in-law suppled the handgun and some old ammo. Not sure why some of the ammo was smokey, maybe due to the age of the shells.

Here's a few from shooting the WVU vs PSU football game on August 31st. Had the camera for under a week so still trying to sort some stuff out.
Recently back from a trip to the desert in Southern Africa to get action shots of the lanner falcons, goshawks, booted eagles and tawny eagles hunting.
Day one started off with a bang capturing some great images of a black-backed Jackal hunting cape turtle doves. Two of the best frames from this capture sequence
The A9 III proved to be an absolute standout for capturing this kind of fast action.
A few frames from one of the sequences (a few intermediate frames have been left out) to illustrate how critical 120fps is for being able to capture and select from precise moments in the action and how critical the A9 III AF tracking is to ensuring the jackals head/eyes are in focus despite the chaos of the fleeing doves all around.
