I like it lot. I still feel the images from either my Z9 or Z8 have more richness to them. However, the A9iii recognition algorithms are really impressive. So much so that when I am shooting side by side with either the Z9 or Z8 - it's clear this is Nikon's weakness and something they need to really work on. As far as the 300 goes - this thing is crazy sharp, small and light. It's built really well but it feels like a toy compared to my Z glass. Overall I am really liking the lens but I still need to shoot some wildlife with the TCs on it to make a better judgment call.
From the Cincinnati vs Pitt college football game on September 7. The first two are of a receiver after he caught the touchdown. I had focused on the wrong receiver and then was able to quickly snap these two shots off (and a couple more too) right before he almost ran me over.
The third and forth photo shows how nice it is to have (in sports) fast fps. While a bit of an awkward shot of the qb (he changed his arm angle) I would have had with lower fps neither of these shots unless I got lucky. I'd more likely have the ball in the hand maybe starting the throw and the ball out of the hand in the air.
The final shot was the one I liked the most out of several in a row. The A93 allowed me to choose the shot right where I wanted it.
I do enjoy shooting this camera. This week I've had youth girls flag football, and hs golf and football and in a couple of days college football. It's getting quite the workout.
Some golf with the 200-600 on the a9III. Captured in jpeg and slight tweaks and cropping in Lightroom.
