Funny, I actually laughed it off when Tamron announced this as a travel lens, but it's been my most used lens during vacations, due to its versatility (I still like taking some close-up wide-open shots, like the first few below).
A couple of travel snaps, not processed, 4k size.
And the main course (which proved to be worth climbing the stone stairs in ~40 Celsius heat), view from Gramvousa Fortress (or rather its remnants) over the island's beach (the close one) and Balos bay (the far one):

Ok, last batch I promise, this time from Elafonisi beach. Too bad there was no vantage point like before, so it was harder to capture the beautiful bay in its entirety.

I doubt this. To explain the settings for the second picture above: I first took a picture of my wife (see below, at 48 mm) as she was putting on her shoes after exiting from the place where we had just had tea, then zoomed in to 150 mm and took a second picture of the ladies chatting inside the place. It was dark in there and the ISO jumped to 4000. Thus, I was nowhere near the ladies, and even if they looked at me - I must have looked busy photographing my wife!

I'm on the fence about this one... On the one hand, I'm kind of off zooms and bulky and heavy glass, but on the other, it would be my dream lens in DSLR days and I will blame myself for not trying it out...
