I think it depends on their strategy for these lenses. They definitely could price them in that range (and I'll probably buy them if they are), but I think there is also the possibility they are looking at these lenses as opportunities to steal market share.
Stealing from crop sensors platforms and 3rd party manufacturers.
If that is a key part of their product strategy, I'd expect them to list at a lower price point, likely directly targeting the Sigma 24/45 combo. This will also keep them within range of several aps-c/m43 lenses.
We'll know tomorrow it sounds like.
Considering Sony sells a non-G branded 35mm f1.8 for $699 and the Sony Zeiss 35mm f2.8 for $798, I can't see the MSRP price being lower than $699 for a G-branded lens. I'm sure there will be $50 to $100 promotions on them over time. If they wanted to steal market share, they would probably come at a cheaper non-G branded price range. That said, the cheaper the better.
I would also pick the Sony lenses at these higher MSRPs easily over the Sigma equivalents at a lower MSRP price point (24/45 vs 24/40 or 50). The 24mm f3.5 sounds like a good lens but it's not f2.8 if you need that (similar to Loxia 21 vs Voigtlander 21 f3.5). The Sigma 45mm is flawed as a general purpose lens that makes the Sony equivalent much stronger and justifiable if you like the form factor and want much better general purpose usability. The Sigma 35mm f2 and 65mm f2 seem great but not the same size category.

Tough decision for me keeping the Sigma 35i or get the 40G assuming the 40G has the same smooth transition area as the 35i. The 35i is everything I want but just a little bigger than I like. I still prefer the 35 mm FL and f2 vs f2.5. Life can be so complicated.

Has Sony ever sold a G lens for less than $900? I'd bet these for $700-900.
Well there have only been 2 prime lenses that were designated as a G lens. One is the 90 f/2.8 macro, which doesn't offer much of a guide and the other one is the 20 f/1.8 G for $900. If one wanted to include zooms, then the 18-105 f/4 APS-C lens is designated as a G lens and it lists for $650, but that is obviously not really relevant here. The bottom line is there really is not enough G lenses at all similar to these to hone in on a price.

And also the 12-24/4 G, 70-300 G, 70-350 G, 16-55 G, 70-200 f4, G, 200-600 G, and 24-105 G. Zooms, but virtually all with strong builds and excellent image quality just short of GM quality. And all, except the pretty old 18-105 aps-c lens, well in excess of $1000. With the 20/1.8 and now these new lenses, Sony is expanding the G line into primes. I'd say the theme of the G lenses is high quality optical and high build quality just below the max quality that is possible when you go to a large GM size. Or, put differently, reduced aperture and size just below GM specs.
Also, remember that people complained the A7C was overpriced when it was first introduced. Increasingly it appears to be cheap and a steal.

Agree with this except these G lenses seem to be TWO steps away (aperture wise) from the top GMs with the same focal length. These seem to be made especially for the A7c. They will please a lot of people.
I’d like to see the “one step away from GM” G lenses - 24/1.8, 28/1.8, 35/1.8, 50/1.8, 100/2, and 200/2.8.

I think when you look at the G lenses as a whole, and these new three seem like they are likely to fit right in, they tend to be very sharp but slower lenses that don't focus as much on rendering as the GM lenses. The 20 f/1.8 G seems a bit of an outlier and an almost GM, G lens. Almost as fast as the GM lenses and a very nice rendering. The other G lens that is perhaps like the 20, the 16-55 f/2.8 G for APS-C is another lens that seems to be in this almost GM category and with the 20 f/1.8 and the 16-55 f/2.8 being 2 of their latest lenses it seemed that faster G lenses might be emerging, but these 3 lenses seem to make it clear that slower but sharp is what sets GM lenses apart.

I would be a big fan of these too. As I wrote above we really only have one example of that in the 20 f/1.8, but I think it represents a really good model of what I would like to see. Given these new lenses, however, I think a 24, 35, and 50 that are that fast are probably unlikely.

I very much agree on the desirability of G-class, good aperture lenses. But, as you say, they would be much bigger than these and less A7C friendly.
Personally, I can't wait to shoot with a small, high quality, Sony-tech kit.

I think Sony probably has to go after rendering on these new three.

With Samyang, Sigma, Tamron and now Sony making highly capable small lenses, perhaps we'll see a renewed interest in stop down photography. I'm all for speed and wide open performance but it can get quite overdone at times.
