Very nice! Great design!
I was really happy about the introduction of the A7c and now there are finally suitable prime lenses. Small, light, focus ring, MF switch. A dream. (Samyang and the old Sony Zeiss just didn't convince me.) Hopefully they are optically on par with the 20mm. Maybe now is the time when I get an A7c as a second camera.
If there is anything to complain about, it is that beautiful sun stars will probably only appear again from f20 (which means no nice sun stars handhold, sharpness decrease, more flares,...), if at all, and that is then no longer relevant in practice for me. So the 24mm is probably out of the question for me.
I would still like a small and light fixed focal length in the same way as the new G lenses in the range of 70-90mm, e.g. a 75mm f4.
That would be great backpacking / hiking / travel / always with you kit consisting of A7c, 20mm f1.8/21mm Voigtlander, 40mm f2.5, 75/xy mm f4.
For me, the 40mm is particularly interesting. My favorite focal length. In my old Canon days, I loved the 40mm pancake. Optically it was great, but the design/manual focusing was a pain and it didn't have a focus ring either.

Great looking lenses indeed.
I am wondering if its a metal casing like the new Sigmas or plastic fantastic like the 20/1.8
Metal feels better, but this polycarbonate seems much more stable to me. In my experience with Zeiss and Voigtlander lenses, these have already been internally damaged after slight mechanical impacts. My Canon polycarbonate lenses used to withstand a lot more, for example fall from a height of 2 meters onto rocks of the 100mm 2.8 IS L,... The same certainly applies to the better Sony lenses made of polycarbonate.

Very impressed by the size of these, especially the 50mm. Don't think I've ever seen a full frame 50mm be that short. The 24mm is not insignificantly smaller than the Sigma I series 24, while being faster to boot. Hoping optically these all perform well!

I think it maybe time to sell the 7iii for a C. I am so happy to see Sony working on smaller lens. It is a good time to be in the Sony camp. So many options for us.

These lenses look really nice and the size and functionality should be excellent. Personally, I would probably go with the Sigma 24 and 45 from their I series rather than these lenses, but if they outperform those lenses by enough then I might go with the Sony 24 and 40. I would be pleasantly surprised if the 40 or 50 had a rendering anything close to the Sigma 45, especially if it had improved focus accuracy, but that is a lot to ask.

I'm thinking that any former μ43 shooter around here is looking at that 40mm f/2.5 and fondly remembering its Panasonic equivalent, that little 20mm f/1.7 pancake.

Wow. If these lenses aren't an invitation to go outdoors, I don't know what they are. I'm so glad that Sony and Sigma finally decided to invest into small-high-end-lenses; I think I'm not the only one who doesn't need ultra-fast lenses at all focal lengths, especially at short lengths...

Okay there nice looking. I could seeing having the 40 when the 35 GM maybe to big for travel type
Unless one travels every other week, I really don't see a point in buying a travel lens and a regular lens. I think GM lenses are now small enough in size to be good for occasional travel for most people.
These new G lenses and Sigma I series + A7C = Keep your camera in your laptop bag and take it everywhere with you level of portability.
I see 4 level of AF lenses for Sony now.
Sigma Art Level - Do you even lift bro?
Sony GM - Very light for pro lenses, but still heavy.
f/1.8 - f/2 Club - Fast and small, but most lenses don't have the mojo of Art and GM level.
f/2.5 and slower - Really light and in some cases amazing quality. Many, including me, dreamed of these lenses when moving to mirrorless from DSLR.

Wow. This is cool. I'll probably still gravitate towards expanding my Sigma I series, but these do look real nice.
One thing these do, is expand the "swiss pocket knife" aspect of the E mount. It really can be anything you want at this point, now that the A7c exists. For lenses, you have your top class super fast premium image tools, you have the cheap and cheerful range (mainly looking at Samyang/Rokinon here), some really cool character glass, all the great CV options, and now both Sonys own and Sigmas small, good IQ and moderately priced (Sigma) options.
You can very much tailor it to your taste. I've thought about switching my FF system a few times, but this is the main reason I can't and won't.

Welp. The 40 isn't a pancake, and in fact looks hella dope. The AF MFD is good (and assuming it follows the recent trend the MF MFD will be even better), and I'm assuming excellence from these lenses at this point considering their size, designation, and f-stop.
Assuming these focus well in bad lighting on my α7 III, I now have to choose between portability, affordability, & discretion with the 40 2.5 G (and that sweet, sweet 40mm FOV) and the 1.4 low-light & bokeh experience with the GM (which will include not needing to get Topaz AI). I have serious doubts that there will be any differences in the output image between the two noticeable at sizes smaller than 200% considering how universally Sony has been killing it with their G and GM releases since the 24 GM.

Wow. After feeling a bit meh about the apertures of these lenses I’m now feeling interested again after seeing how good they look. Hope the IQ/rendering is good. Not sure if I’d take them out ahead of my 24GM and 35GM so that’s what I would need to consider, but could see them going nice with an a7c when I didn’t want to take the “big” kit

I do feel that Sony re-committing to small, compact, and high quality changes everything. To be able to use a small kit capable of special, high quality images is exactly why I came to Sony originally (and why I had bought a Contax G2 kit years ago, in the days of SLRs).
While I like and will buy and keep the larger GM lenses and A1 bodies for when their use is appropriate (and that is all beautiful, powerful gear), this C-form kit is the one I have wanted to use (and what always made me think about Leica).
The quality (optics + rendering) just has to be good. I think it will be, because otherwise making these as G-designated, limited aperture lenses has no point.
