Exactly!
He’s now saying the one he saw first was a “prototype”
Edit - can no longer find where he said that, seems to have edited his post nandadevieast wrote:
SAR reports that the lens has 72mm filter thread and other things which indicate its relatively small.
Few days back he wrote, i have seen the lens, its very wide/fat but short.
This guy keeps cheating all the time. What he did earlier was he made an attempt at guesstimating the size.
Turns out he never saw the lens.
SAR we don’t need you ! You should subscribe to the RSS feed from N and you will always be accurate, and for once, professional.

Then, rumors are rumors...

Gosh, I love the image that comes out of the Sony/Zeiss 1.4. My only issue is that the autofocus does not keep up with the newer faster cameras. I might have to go for it and put the Zeiss up for sale.

So interested but will have to see. Doesn't mean I won't order it on day 1. Currently waiting for my FE 35mm f/1.4 GM that I ordered in the first five minutes. Of course I am still waiting for it.
I love 50mm. I own the Planar 50mm f/1.4 ZA but admit I am a fan of Zeiss lens qualities. Previously owned the Canon 50mm f/1.2L as well which I like but eventually sold when I moved to Sony because adapted it just did not AF for me well. My love of 50mm maybe because I use that focal length on film for almost 10 years before finally getting a 28-90mm f/2.8 zoom.
I have also been considering the purchase of a used RF 50mm f/1.2L to use on my EOS R5 which I bought a few months back. Keep looking at it and wondering about size. Finally found the lens to compare it to on Sony. The Sony FE 135mm f/1.8. Same weight but about 20mm shorter. The 85mm f/1.4 GM is shorter and about 130 gm lighter.
So how big and heavy will the new 50mm f/1.2 GM be? One comment. The size and design of the EOS R5 does make it handle slightly larger lenses a little better I think but not by much. Just a personal opinion. I like the size of the 50mm f/1.4 ZA but it is a denser lens. Will just have to wait and see.
Here a link comparing the size of the 50/1.4 ZA, 85/1.4 GM, 135/1.8 GM and RF 50/1.2. The 135/1.8 GM weight the same 950 GM.

Nice!
I will definitely buy the 35mm GM, I find the first reviews, size and price very convincing. My Sigma 35mm f1.2 takes great pictures, but it's big and heavy and I have had very bad experiences with Sigma in terms of service... The exchange will be easy for me.
Not so with the 50mm f1.4 ZA. This is an outstanding lens that takes very special pictures. Certainly a subjective assessment, but when used correctly it creates unique images that cannot be obtained with any other lens and which, in my opinion, cannot be copied through postprocessing. The only thing that bothers me is the unreliable autofocus on my cameras.
On the other hand, the size, weight and manufacturing quality of the new GM really appeal to me. The AF of the brand new Sony lenses is also great... optically it will certainly be very good too...

Yea that size has me very interested if the IQ is there. Back in my Canon days my "holy trinity" for AF primes was the 24L, 50L, and 135L...I already have both excellent Sony GM's of those focal lengths (24 GM & 135 GM) and have been fiddling around with different 40-70mm options. This would have me set long-term, we'll see how the price comes in.
