p.34 #4 · Pre-order: Sony FE 50mm f/1.2 GM ($1,998)
Adorama seems to have it in stock but I noticed it flips back and forth between "Low Stock
- Limited Quantity Available" and "In Stock
& Ready to Ship" on refreshing the webpage. Also, it's odd that it is listed as "Final Sale - No Returns or Exchanges." Anyone have any luck getting it via greentoe?

It seems sample variation and decentering was a common problem for the first batches? Has anyone purchased one recently and got a good copy?
Is Fred still planning on a review of the 1.2? It would be great to see how it performs in comparison to the 1.4 ZA.
I recently picked up on used here on B+S and it is the best centered copy of any fast lens I've ever seen. All the previous copies I owned were reasonably well centered, ie sharpening up across the frame after stopping down a bit. This copy is razor sharp to all four corners and sides at f/1.2. Here's an image composite showing crops from each corner and side:

I have a relatively early copy of the 1.2 GM. Effortless corner-to-corner resolution wide open. So good you stop looking after the first pixel-peeping check; it seems obvious even in the full-frame EVF view at taking.
While I quite like the 1.2 GM’s draw as well, the 1.4 ZA is my pick of the two for rendering. The former is clean and neutral with pleasant OOF contrast. The latter’s out-of-camera look can be special.
