My favorite bridge. I keep searching the best way to capture it. Thick foliage is beautiful but certainly compositionally challenging. Second and Third shots are HDR.

I agree Luka, woodland photography is a very challenging genre. I will say that you are doing very well with it.

Thank you so much. I love shooting trees and forest. It is my passion and obsession at the same time. I noticed UK photographers refer to woodland. Yes, as you mentioned, it’s challenging to find composition out of quite often visible cacophony. 50/1.2 provides one way to simplify the scene with extremely shallow depth of field. 58/1.4 G is also very good with a certain distance, but 50/1.2 is just superb and more versatile. It is just that weight and size go against me and too often, I end up not taking the lens to carry a few more lenses instead. I need to remind myself that less is more. Still working on that part.

I understand about the size and weight issue. But I love my 50mm f1.2 GM is one of my favorites also. It finds its way into my bag unless traveling light is a primary goal.
