The landscape similar to Frank Herbert's Dune is very impressive and excites the imagination, forcing you to look for suitable images and types. Svetlana perfectly embodied several images in this location.

The 50 is just a much easier working distance to deal with. Love both lenses, but I knew exactly when to break out the 50. urbanwild wrote:
These are fantastic!
The 85mm f1.2S images are striking, but I love the balance of the subject and background more with the 50mm f1.2S. Thanks for posting both sets.

Candids, portraits, some walk around.
Do you really want to choose a huge 2kg camera setup for walk around? I myself use the significantly smaller and lighter Sony setup, and even that feels pretty borderline to me. But then again, I don't go to the gym five times a week and I love small prime lenses.😇 https://camerasize.com/compact/#907.934,883.975,ha,t
Yeah that’s pretty huge. Mostly the 1.8 would get that if I used 50 whereas I mostly like to use 35 and 75 Voigtlander or a Nikon 40/2. Walk around was the least of what I’d want it for. Mostly portrait and candids. But I don’t need it.

I have used this big ass lens for that exact thing for years. Nifty Fifty wrote:

As a new owner of this lens, I really like the balance of sharpness with the nice out of focus areas in the front and back of the focus plane while maintaining a bit of character. I have a feeling this could become my most used lens which will be paired with the Plena.
A few from the Z 50 f1.2S that I haven't posted. The first three are from "Sculptures by the Sea", an exhibition of sculptures they host every year on the 2km coastal walk from Bondi to Bronte Beaches in Sydney. These three were from the 2023 exhibition. The other shots are more recent.
