Yesterday, I went to a beach not far from our home near sunset with recently purchased R5 and RF 100-500.
A number of these little fellows were intently feeding on the crustations on rocks and were very tolerant of me. I was able to sit on the rocks a little above and take photos from about 10’ away. I’ve identified him as a sanderling, but appreciate any confirmation.
