We need a "non-bird" Canon R5 thread here, as 95% of the photos here are birds. I like to shoot birds as much as the other person, but it becomes tiring to scroll through pages and pages of bird photos to find any other subjects. I for one like to see more people shots, landscapes..... give me a cat for a godsake!!!!!
I feel the same way. I like to shoot birds occasionally too, but yeah, it is a LOT of bird photos.

Well I am more interested in staying with all my Canon EF gear and getting the R5 after viewing your images "Jman"!

Fred doesn't charge anyone to start new threads.
R5 users can and do post anything they like here. If you want to see more variety here, I say get busy! I think most of us enjoy seeing images from all genres.
And just for good measure. Here's a photo of a fish that I think I already posted here before.

Unfortunately, I predict a non-bird R5 Image thread would die out to a trickle within 2-3 weeks. I've seen these things tried in the past. Once image threads get more and more specific they never last.
The thread I've always loved on the Canon board was the Seasonal Image thread to encompass all gear and all genres. But even that thread is sort of slow these last couple years. The last post in the Winter thread is 3 days old
Here are two photos from last night that don't appear to include any birds. Laowa 15mm f/2, trying to decide if I want to keep it. I'll do some more shooting tonight to decide.

It's winter! We've been hibernating! I have been, anyway.

I'm afraid to post up any feathers now so I'll switch over to fur on this one.
Nah post what you want because you paid the price of admission. I never understand the people who bitch with which topics are posted with a camera. How about go buy one and post the pictures you want to take with it. Birds and Wildlife is why I bought the R5 so that is what I post.

Yeah, I was just being somewhat facetious. I have plenty of feathers to get to one of these days if I ever get a chance to set down and process them. Plenty of furry critters from Alaska yet to get to as well.
Now cats is something you'll never see me post. Well, unless they're the wild non-domesticated type like your excellent example.

Peekaboo I see you!!! I love otters! Such a friendly fun creature to watch and view! Great composition "LH"!
The people who know you and your work appreciate those facts.
There will ALWAYS be someone who has to denigrate someone's composition! Just ignore!
