The initial EVF specs (3.68M dots) look a little disappointing for the price. Was hoping for at least the EVF from the A7RIV, A7SIIIs EVF would have been amazing.

Super curious about the L, and what that sensor means for video.
The initial EVF specs (3.68M dots) look a little disappointing for the price. Was hoping for at least the EVF from the A7RIV, A7SIIIs EVF would have been amazing.
And Nokishita reported that fp L is expected to be released on 4/16 in Japan market and it is indeed having a 61 MP sensor:

It's still a bit unclear if the EVF is only for the new Sigma fp L or whether it is also for the original fp. I hope it could work equally on both but need to wait and see. I could be tempted to get the new EVF somewhere along the way if I keep my fp as well, but I'm not sure yet. Not sure if I want to keep buying lenses in L-mount in addition to E-mount and how the weight of fp + EVF would compare to A7C.

I'm not considering the new fp L now but might buy the EVF for my original Sigma fp at some point if it works well with the original fp.

Definitely seems expensive, so I hope it's spec'd to mind-blowing levels. I'm more than likely going to pick one up, maybe off Greentoe to ease the sting a little. I really miss having an evf.I guess we'll know the deal on the 23rd!

Also not too interested in the Fp L. Fairly happy with 24 megapixels and after firmware 2.0 the eye AF is acceptable with the 85 1.4 so I don't really need the phase detect for my portraiture.

Alright my fpL arrived yesterday and my Sigma I Series 35/2 arrives tomorrow, so I will report back on it.
Consolidating down from an FP & SL2.. will see how it goes!
Will get EVF later when generally available.
