Shout out to Popflash -- they're going to replace both lenses. Friendly, helpful.. in a word awesome. LLL, on the other hand, all I can say is "eh". They have the potential to be something special, but they need to get some QC.
Excellent pics! Did you say you got the loaner from Popflash in California? Wondering if the wobbly one you had is the one they are now selling as a demo.

No, the North America Distributor is apparently something different than the US distributor.
Had to change the wording because of that 🙄
SPII plot twist – I got an M11 today and am seeing very minimal glow with the SPII at f/2, at least not the kind of glow I've been getting that is reminiscent of the 35 Lux pre-ASPH v2. I have to overexpose to see even a tiny bit of glow on the M11, and then the glow is mostly purple fringing. Strange that the SL2 has nice glow with this lens (assuming that's the thicker cover glass) and the M11M has the most glow (perhaps thinner cover glass more sensitivity to IR?), but the M11 doesn't.

I wonder if the orange and light red filters on the M11M are at play here, too – I seem to remember back in the day getting a near infrared glow/look with TMAX 100 + red filter + high contrast paper.

At same distance and lighting?
I tried infinity where I should see the most glow – it's just a completely different look – more of a "melty-soft" look than "glow". Hard to explain. Tried the other easy way to get glow – shooting straight into a lamp light indoors, which easily shows glow on other cameras – nothing! I'll do some side-by-sides tomorrow with the M11 and M11M to be sure.

Shoot some w your M6 to compare results on film vs digital.

Could you share a few photos from M11? I'm curious, because I'm about to buy Speed Panchro for my M11.

M6 is long gone, and I still have 10 rolls of undeveloped film from three months ago. Glow is pretty intense on b&w film with the SPII at f/2 – about the same as the M11M. I posted some film pics earlier in the thread. I think the issue with the M11 is the purple fringing at f/2 makes it hard for me to recognize the glow as glow.
Glow comparison of the SPII on M11 and M11M at f/2 in 10am light, sun to the front of me, and close distance. No color filter used on the M11M. Glow with the SPII is more controlled near MFD, so will test at longer distances later.
Looks like it's purple fringing that makes the glow seem more subdued on the M11 than the M11M when looking at the entire image zoomed out. Zoomed in, I can see that the glow is very similar – differences are the purple fringing and the expected contrast differences.
Black and white conversion from the M11 makes the glow much more like the M11M, although that purple fringing is of course not there on the M11M, meaning the tone in that area is much brighter on the M11M. To compensate, the magenta slider in C1 can brighten the M11's purple fringing to compensate, but the area still is a light gray tone instead of nearly white.
Will do some shots at longer distance comparisons later in sunset light. Also need to compare the M11M against itself with both no filter and with orange or light red filter to see if that increases the glow – thinking it will due to increased contrast and longer exposure, which might (might) be allowing the M11M sensor to record some IR light it wouldn't normally record.

M11M, full image for reference
200% crop
Another crop
M11 b&w conversion left (no slider adjustment) – M11M right
M11 conversion left – magenta slider maxed out to brighten glow
Very interesting indeed! Never noticed that purple fringing on other images from M11 with this lens posted online.
On full size photo I can't see that purpling but it's very noticeable on crops. I have a bad habit of pixel-peeping and am really considering now is this lens for me.. Normally, of course I wouldn't be looking at photos on 100% zoom, but it is enough for me to even *know* the fringing is there.
But yet again, I'm in love in that overall rendering, it's just so creamy and dream-like. Maybe I'll just place an order and see how my copy performs and hope for the best?!
