Hi K-H, the bear's message was received loud and clear 😁
I'm always extra cautious around sows with cubs, naturally. But with food being plentiful and this bear not being cornered in any way, I was surprised at its reaction. Nevertheless, I departed quickly and left him alone.

An Anhinga drying off makes for an imposing "Dark Tower" silhouette, but more sinister is the fishing line wrapped around the perch.
I see too many things like this around parks and reservations with campgrounds, either out of reach or out of bounds of regular volunteer clean-up crews.
