Hi Joshua,

You just need 2 A9s, one with the 600mm GM and the other with the 200-600mm F lenses.

Rich, I am thinking more along the line of one A9 while the other is the A7r IV in APS-C mode

Picked mine up this p.m. from our Little Rock camera shop. Porch shot w/tripod, not the best time of day. I was hoping the RRS foot for the 100-400 would fit this but NO.

I knew those were your thoughts having monitored your comments on FM. I was just making comment so that you would have both lenses mounted on the fastest focusing cameras.

That's my plan too... A9 and A7Riv. Possibly replacing the A9 with an A9ii when it's released.

Thanks for sharing your shots, guys. Went out to Bombay Hook Wildlife Refuge this morning to try out the 200-600, some of these images are heavily cropped, even with the 1.4 TC. With the TC the A7RIII is a bit too slow to acquire flying targets. Of course, operator may be blamed in most circumstances. I am not really a birder like some of you folks here. Will be interesting to see how the lens work with the A7RIV.

I got mine on Friday like most here, but didn't have a lot of time to test it out today. Little Ollie obliged by posing for a few photos. I'm very impressed with the sharpness of this lens.

OK, no feathers, beaks or legs here... just a big rock. Tried the FE200-600 with 1.4x and 2.0x on both A7R3 and A6500... probably happiest with the A6500 and 2.0x. So 1800mm equivalent of the moon - shot is cropped square but full height and no digital zoom. My usual LR processing. I'm very happy for its performance at this price point... great job Sony!!

Thank You! My credit card got charged on Friday, but lens won't arrive for a few days.

But moonshots are the prime reason I got the 200-600 as well, I don't have an APS-C camera anymore (just one A7R3). I've been holding off on the A7R4 until I see what else is introduced by the end of this year (A9ii, A6700/A7000, etc.) to see what best fits my overall needs.

This photo is great and exactly what I was hoping this lens would help me accomplish.

I’ve tried stacking TCs and while it can work (with kenko macro tube in between them). Unfortunately the tube makes focusing at infinity impossible.
