Wow - insanely good!
How long did it stay still there?
Anyway - long enough I guess...
Yes - long enough to click few shots. One good thing about these dragonflies is that they circle around come to the same spot so it is easier to set up the rig and wait.

Thanks, the 1.2 is a sweet, sweet lens. I've had the 40/1.4 previously and it has its own charm but it isn't in the same league.
I did some minor edits in ACR, but didn't really play with colors, so it's pretty close to SOOC. I really love the colors from Voigtlander & Zeiss on the Z.
Speaking of color, here's some with none from this morning.
I was thinking that might be her. My wife’s best friend tends to them. She has to get in the water and clean out their tank periodically. I prefer to be on the side of the glass the photo was taken from.

Passing evening shower on the way to the Rodeo. Z6 w/ Sigma 100-400. Glad to have the Z6's ISO abilities...
Nice Matt! I agree about the ISO abilities. Shooting in the dark aquarium on Monday I had a number of shots at ISO 20,000 and higher. Still great quality.
Thanks, yeah I have some more shots I’ll post later from the rodeo itself where to keep shutter speed up I was pushing that as well. It’s definitely a lot more usable than he used to be! Wish I had traded some shutter speed on these, but it was raining on me and I didn’t have a chance to adjust the auto setting.

As far as I can say here I really would have tried to capture these around 1600 ISO, maybe 3200 at max.
I am not sure how dark it was but it doesn’t look very dark to me, in if it was much darker, then be it , why would one not show a little more if it in the photos.
So - as good as the High ISO capabilities of the Z6 are, I guess in general the results will still be better in lower ISO numbers.
( coming from film I am mich more traditional here I guess... )
Thanks for posting anyway!
Agreed, wish I had used a lower ISO but I had it set to Fast Auto Shutter and it wasn't as bright as it looks, just low late sun peaking under the storm, so trees etc were very dim. Also had 1 hand on an umbrella and one on the camera. If I have a complaint about that Auto ISO setting, it's that its a bit buried in the menu and can't be changed without a bit of diving (and definitely not while holding an umbrella...
A few shots from the rodeo. Here I had little choice in order to keep the shutter speed up.

on the Z6 I have my iso sensitivity set up at the top of my "my menu" fairly quick to get at. or you can stay on manual and use the ISO button on the top deck and spin. I have little fear of 15000 iso Aperture preferred
Ya, they need to surface it a bit more. Or maybe I need to rethink my U setting, slow, normal, fast. I find I change other stuff a lot less than that setting.
