Fantastic set of pictures!
I like the colors and the density of shapes and structures a lot.
The combination of the resolving power of the z7 sensor and the sharpness and contrast of the 70-200 f4 is stunning.
( makes me really wonder if going the z7-way over the combination of d850 + z6 would make more sense, if I just wouldn't need the d850 for animals and sports, and the z6 as the cheaper go to video and casual camera...decisions, decisions...)
@ocean2059 @zhangyue, nice shots with the 24-70/4. Did some more testing and it is an impressive lens. It’s like a thin film is being lifted off images, especially on the wide end. Close focus is also quite handy. Glad I grabbed one.
Nothing very artistic. But having a lot of fun with the Z6 and the 500 PF combo, having just returned to Nikon from a two-plus year "experiment" with Micro Four Thirds.
Living in the mountains of Arizona, I have several species of junipers and cypress evergreens in my yard close to my deck. They make great roosting and hiding places for a regular population (some year-round) of Anna's and Rufous hummers. Fun to sit there with coffee in hand and watch these little guys fight with each other for dominance.
Male Anna's.Depending on light angles, the iridescent red feathers blow out on the red channel of an RGB histogram.
Same Male Anna's; feathers less colorful in different light. Blinking his eyes.
Tight crop of the same male; iridescent feather glow in sunlight. Plays havoc with the red channel of a histogram
