I did, and seems okay but I might play with it more sometime. If you move the ring real slow it basically doesn't register movement. I'm wondering how it'll be if I set it to fast instead of slow.
Otherwise there's focus adjust, user guide and firmware, nothing else useful I saw.
Oddly my 35/1.4 was showing -1 focus adjust but I never set that so don't know where that came from. Changed to 0 and will keep and eye on it.
I've heard that 'fast' is better (more sensitive) but never tried the software.
Also, if the focus was showing "-1", perhaps it was the setting applied by the factory.
I知 in a flight simulator shooting a screen and bezel black box against back panel. So 85 at F4 2second exposure. I知 in crop mode with small extension tube. Manual focus. Using my Godox 400 Pros in softboxes using the LEDs on the strobes
So it痴 not all about models. I have shot the Aerospace business for like 30 years.
That's what I'm thinking as well on the 35, need to do some more tests there as well to see if I'm seeing any inaccuracy now.

I値l try to do a video before I知 out on medical next Monday. I get mine on Friday it looks like
I知 impressed they came out with this so quick
It was more like we got our 85/1.4 lenses with beta firmware and they just finalized the final version.
Their beta was already great IMO. I am really enjoying carrying a light and high IQ 85/1.4 with me now. The 85 GM is not much heavier but I wasn't bringing it around much.

The 24GM paired with this Samyang 85 1.4 is a nice 2 lens kit

Nothing artistic here but more for a ad . They will be cutting the bezel out so just the screen. But nice and sharp plus it pays the bills. Sometimes its just not about Art.

Yes I知 real excited to have the Sony 24,50 1.4,135 and this Rok. Be a nice kit
I expect my prime kit eventually will be similar to this. Currently it's Sony GM 24, 85 and 135. I think (hope?) I have enough patience to wait for an eventual 50 GM successor to the Zony 50/1.4 and a successor to the 85GM. Ideally hoping they will have newer generation motors for faster focusing.
I have some quality zooms to cover any existing gaps in my primes - so I think I can wait it out. But GAS being what it is...only time will tell.
(not a big 35mm shooter, so the 24 in crop mode plus two GM Zooms cover that focal length for me well enough).

Yes when shooting event work the 24 in crop mode is awesome. I can just flip back and forth with crop and 18mpx is plenty of file for that type of work. So I really don稚 need a 35 so much . Sure love to have one but not seeing much of a need .

On the lens station. Silly question do you just go to load the software for the lens station itself. Than put lens on and through there software update your lens. I think I remember it being that way.

Yes, you need "Samyang Lens Manager" application, mine is ver 2.1. There you can select the firmware file to load into the lens:
