I just ordered an Arca Swiss style L-bracket from "3 Legged Thing"
called a "Zelda" specifically for the Z series Nikon's

https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1452464-REG/3_legged_thing_zelda_g_dedicated_l_bracket_for_nikon.html

Does anyone else use one?

Reagan,

I ordered one as well from Adorama but mine has not arrived yet. I think this guy did a really good review of it.

B&H and Adorama won't ship it till Monday and then it takes 3 days
We are leaving on a cruise Friday and I wanted it before we left

I think you’ll like it! The biggest thing I miss about the Fuji is being able to look down at the camera/lens and see all of my settings without having to turn the camera on.

^^^^^^
I still have my XT-2 and a couple of lens along with a DF
Looking down and seeing your settings is a big plus
I was going to sell the Fuji and Df when I got the Z6
but so far It hasn't happened

I still miss the ergonomics of the X-T2 sometimes - I really love never having to dive into menus with the Fuji, although as I get the Z6 set up the way I want it I'm doing a lot less menu searching. I love the U1 - U3 custom settings on the Z6 - huge time saver.

A few icy shots - being able to take shots like these without a tripod is a revelation. These were all taken with the 24-70....

I opted for the Kirk because it's available in EU, here.
I do not understand why they made the L-Bracket Vertical Side Arm non-removable

^^^^
I agree I usually remove the vertical side but keep it in the bag
Supposedly having one piece made it lighter
I got all my info from the video I almost bought the orange one
but decided on the light grey

I'm pretty pleased with the smallrig with the adjustable/removable vertical plate. It extends across the entire bottom of the Z6 making it a little heavier than the Zelda, but affords a pinky rest for the right hand. At first, it felt a little awkward for my largish hands, but now it feels like a very natural grip. Also, I use a right angle mini-to-standard HDMI adapter so I can use standard HDMI cables. The adjustable L-plate holds this in so it doesn't come loose.

The L-plate can be swapped out for a solid hand-grip for the left hand, which is great for more stable video (smallrig part# 2218).

This evening I played with 24-70/4 S and Canon 500D close-up lens.
The naked zoom allows attaining a 1:3.3 (0.3 X) magnification.
With the Canon close-up lens I measured a maximum 0.414 X (= 1:2.42) magnification (see the millimeter rule image).
Not so bad ...

Greetings of the day folks, would be Z 6 owner here. Just went through a lot of images here and they are all incredible. I can't figure out why some reviews are quite negative though with phrases like "half baked" being used and some complaining about battery life while Ming Thein said these cameras have fabulous battery life (he talked about Z7 though). Only the weaker than DSLR AF seems to be a common point but not too bad.
Anyway, does someone here use 24-120 f/4 with FTZ on their Z 6 and can comment on how it performs? I would like 24-70 S but the extra reach on the former is very tempting.

I don't have a 24-120 but I am very happy with the AF using the 85/1.8g and the 18-35g
with the FTZ
Eventually I would like native "S" lens when the 24/1.8 and the 85/1.8 models come
but the price may scare me away

That's good to know! yeah lens prices are getting out of hands. I like the new 50 but not sure if it is 3 times better than 50 1.8G. Guess I will find out eventually. 24-70 f/4 S seems like a winner in IQ though and priced sensibly.
