Hey folks, first timer here. I actually ended up getting the Z6 last week, partially influenced by posters in this thread. Unfortunately, I am trying solve a big issue I have with this camera, and I cannot find the solution anywhere. Hopefully someone here can help.

When I am shooting in continuous high, the images play back in the viewfinder. (Either that or the camera slows the viewfinder frame rate down to a fraction of its normal fps.) Why? Image review is off. I tried turning off "view all in cont.", but that just causes 100% blackout in a burst sequence.

There will be always some stutter but no blackout (it's not A9, different price bracket). Switch your RAW to 12 bit and see if it makes any difference.

Were you able to auto focus with this lens or manually?

Thanks for the feedback. Since I posted, that I've been learning to deal with it. It's my only gripe with the z6 so far. That 12 bit tip does seem to make things smoother in the video, though, I will have to try that one out myself. Hopefully the difference in RAW quality isn't too noticeable. Thanks!

basically 12bit gives you 12 frames (vs 9 frames in 14bit).

Related to 12 bit, check out Thom Hogan’s Z6 write up. He talks about switching to 12 bit anyway over (I think) ISO 400. IIRC the extra bit depth is basically just noise once the dual gain kicks in. So if your shooting higher ISO to get a fast shutter presumably in CHigh then it may be a free lunch.
