I'm curious how fleshed out the android install on it will be, if android will handle any of the actual camera functions, and if you will be able to run regular android apps on it....
thinking about the old Samsung Galaxy Cameras here.
Honestly in 2019 if Sony, Canon, Nikon, Fuji are not thinking about *real* connectivity and modular software they should be.
In the big picture cameras are still for the most part very old-school devices.

Another thing people seem to be forgetting, re the built in SSD and upload speeds/times-
I haven't messed with a camera that actually transferred files quickly over wifi. I don't know what kind of radios Canon and Sony are putting in their bodies but they suck.
A modern wifi radio can push very fast up/down speeds, so that should not be an issue. If you really need to move 40-50gb quickly, it has USB-C.

If there is a resolution difference, it seems to be small and definitely not the reason to start a new system. I'm more interested in the different look and effect as medium format lenses are 'longer FL' compared to full frame equivalents. As someone wrote...it will be a while for the 100R to come to market and by then, Sony may have many surprises, allowing many of us to continue resisting MF even for landscapes photography.
Yes it’d be fun, but the FL difference between small MF and FF is not large for the same angle of view.
Maybe wait for “real” medium format? Like a true 6x7 or even 6x9? But that’s a long wait...
But also, the difference in look is going to be very subtle compared to the AOV and DOF equivalent lenses on FF, which are easy to find since FF has fast sharp lenses available for it that are often DOF-equivalent-faster than what’s available at those AOVs on MF.

Yes I think the difference in FL is small enough that it would really go unnoticeable unless someone pointed out and even then...

Why is the diameter of the lens of the ZX1 so small compared to the diameter of the RX1 lens?
There supposed to both be 35mm f2 lenses.
Well, the visible entry pupil only needs to be 17.5mm in diameter, looks like it is that at least.
The longer physical layout may give them room to use a smaller front element to achieve this.

Too big, heavy, and lens should have been faster, f1.4.
I much prefer my RX1. I was hoping Zeiss would do a medium format version of RX1, Drool! I like to keep my cards separate from the camera after done shooting so that if someone steals my camera, i still have my images. Plus if you drop ythe camera or it gets soaked with water and stops working, how do u get your images off it?
Lens sticks out too far, i like my original RX1 EVF.
I also like having multiple batteries for shooting in cold weather. Not interested in using battery up in field doing image editing. Still prefer downloading wifi to tablet or pc to do image editing on.
Forward thinking ... Zeiss should have gone MF on this one as 35mm format with 50 MP is running out room for dramatic IQ separation. Still enjoy my 6 yr old RX1 with pop up flash when i need it. Would rather shoot a Sony a7r3 with latest Zeiss 35/1.4.
