Kent, I used a D2X with a 300 2.8 AF-I. It was shot at ISO 400 f/5.6 1/750th. I meant to shoot a little faster, but got excited!
The car show probably won't compare to our Smoky Mtn outing but may still be pretty interesting. I was really involved with showing cars years ago but rarely go to them now. I still have my cars but they mostly sit and gather dust now.
I plan to get to the North Atlanta Trade center just after lunch (1:00) on Saturday the 19th. Join us if you can.

Man, I wish I could make this shoot. My Thought Process: "Darn work, but I gotta pay for new equipment, But wait, what good is new equipment if you can't use it? Darn Work!"
Grant, sounds like you need to get the feather duster out and clean up one of those cars. Then, hook it up behind the camper and head back to the mountains. We could go shoot some waterfalls on Friday and attend (and shoot) a rod run on Saturday!
Sounds like a plan to me...
Anyway, I wish I could come down this weekend but I can't. However, I will be a shopping widow the weekend after turkey day and will also be in Atlanta the weekend of 12/3 if someone wanted to shoot either Saturday or Sunday morning.
