I've been thinking about going to the Zoo this weekend, probably first thing in the morning before the crowds get bad. Sunday is looking pretty good as far as weather goes as of right now. Please let me know if anybody wants to go, we can coordinate where to meet.
I'll be at Zoo Atlanta Sunday myself, I have a 1D to test. I believe we have met before on the purchase of your 70-200L IS. You can email me for my cell and yes early(9:30) would be best for beating the crowds.

I'm going up to the Greenway in Alpharetta around 7:00 with a friend to shoot. If we get done early enough, I may come join you guys at the zoo. In any case, have fun.
I had a great time at the zoo. I'm up for another trip too, maybe a few more members will chime in also. Name a place, I have some more testing to do.
I got some good shots but the color balance was off. Seems the camera was programed with a custom tonal curve. I have since reset all the features to default.
Would love to do some walkaround urban shots in downtown ATL sometime..it looks really neat on a weekend morning when the streets are almost empty..is that something that interest anyone else other than me?

I think the testing of the 1D has been a total success, just a bit of tweaking and she's ready to go to work. I have a sneaking feeling though that next weekend may hold yet another trip to the zoo.
