I have the sigma 35 1.4 and i would like to sell it to take the nikon 35 1.4 but i'm undecided with the new 28mm 1.4, i also tried the 28 1.8 i did not like it. Experiences with 35 1.4 and 28 1.4?

Previously had 35mm f/1.4G and 24mm f/1.4G. Immediately sold both to fund for the new 28mm f/1.4E. Used it for about a month and wasn't as happy as I thought I'd be so I returned it.
I ended up losing money because I had to re-acquire both 35mm f/1.4G and 24mm f/1.4G again.
The reason back for the switch is because I didn't like the FL, I just didn't click with it. There just wasn't enough compression I would like for a wide angle.
With that being said, 35mm is my most used lens for weddings. I could not say that with the 28mm.
A couple of things to mention, the 28E is sharper than 35G, has better CA control, better bokeh quality and shape. These differences are subtle and don't make a difference to me.
I'm anxiously waiting for an updated version 35mm f/1.4E, if there will be one.
Off topic: Elijah and DJ, Nikon should award both of you Gold Ring Ambassadors Title.
I wonder how many people got into your image threads trap and ended up owning gold rings :-) (I am one of them who ended up with 58 first and now 35 or 28 TBD)

I've joined the club! All in on the 35mm. I've only had a day to work with it, but I am looking forward to working with it the last few weddings of this year. Going to focus on 35/85 for my last 3 weddings, see how it goes.
