Thank you very much, Doug! Yes, they are indeed gorgeous. They were fairly close and I got a few frames using the 200-600mm lens at the long end, it looked almost like they were taken with a macro lens.
Excellent and enjoyable images of the hooded merganser! Same in SoCal, they are here only in the winter and they are quite active now.

Considering how many constraints there are in a wedding and how unprepared and not photogenic the spouses might be, these are fantastic wedding pics ticking all the boxes. (Plus a nice lens, plus good looking people)
