These are really gorgeous ducks, Joshua! What's even more amazing is that you shot them with a 135mm lens! They must be really accustomed to human.
Thank you very much, Doug! Yes, they are indeed gorgeous. They were fairly close and I got a few frames using the 200-600mm lens at the long end, it looked almost like they were taken with a macro lens.
Excellent and enjoyable images of the hooded merganser! Same in SoCal, they are here only in the winter and they are quite active now.
