The birders are taking over this thread. Just kidding. Not much else interesting for me to shoot around here in winter except when we get snow or ice.
I shot these hooded mergansers yesterday morning, first time this season I was able to capture them in flight. We only see them here in the winter, very skittish little ducks.
Amazing how successful these Red-Tails are when hunting, I watched this individual catch field mice over a period of half an hour and during that period he was 3 for 3. Red-Tailed Hawk by Jose Raposo, on Flickr
