This was probably one of my toughest mornings of shooting. The wind was blowing 20-30 mph with cold temps in the air. I arrived at this alpine lake under darkness and waited for blue hour. I shot many frames just to make sure I had something to work with. I took several different focus stacked sets. Fortunately there were a few moments where the wind died down ever so briefly before gusting again. I framed these twisted trees against the awesome mountain peak catching the first light of the day. You can see that the lake had started to freeze.

These two loved posing -- perhaps the photo session was only an excuse for more kissing?

Belated congratulations Jim (I was away on holiday last week) and great photos of the happy couple.

My new Sigma 100 to 400 turns out to be small and light enough to allow me to add it to my hiking kit. Handy for taking these photos of seals (on a Cornish beach) from the cliffs of the South West Coast Path.

The two in the first shot don't seem to be getting on as well as your daughter and son-in-law (probably both males though)!

I solved the problem by switching to the built in Samsung browser in my Samsung phone.

Not visible in Chrome for me either Ronny, fine in firefox and I can see them OK in Microsoft Edge but everything looks horrible (presumably becasue it is Microsoft Edge), so I would rather not!

Two seals playing in the surf at a beach close to the location of the previous shots. Again, Sigma 100-400mm F5-6.3 DG DN OS Contemporary on A7RIV.

Took the scenic detour on the way backk from Rodeo Beach when fog pulled in and covered the bridge. The fog blew just past some of the elevated towers and made for a nice quick shot.

I see that it impacts my photos as well. This is caused by using http image link inside a FM page loaded through https.

This was working before. However for many pages linking media from insecure page is a security issue. On FM this is not a big security issue, but attacker observing network traffic can see which images are you viewing. I am not sure if MITM attacker could change media type on the wire to svg (which might enable executing untrusted javascript in context of secure page - that would be bad https://research.securitum.com/do-you-allow-to-load-svg-files-you-have-xss/ ).

So I see that Chrome automatically changes http to https on these image links which fails on my site because it does not have https port open. With Helena's site the https port responds, however the certificate is for different domain name (host.graphicgarden.com instead of www.helenasphotography.com) so it does not pass.

Firefox warns about insecure elements inside secure page, but it displays it fine (which will likely change in future too).

There was something about these trees that caught my focus. I loved the branches and wanted to frame them again around the mountain peak. I was positioned with the sun rising behind me. The clouds were moving quickly over the mountains as they caught some morning light.

FE 16-35 GM (learning that f8 or f9 is the sweet spot for this lens)

Funny story. I had $40 in my right pocket. For some reason, I reached in my pocket after taking this shot and in a blink of an eye, the wind had torn the two $20 bills straight from my hand. I chased after the money but could only find one $20 bill. I was upset at first but then had a laugh at mother nature. The additional price I paid to get these RMNP shots I guess.
