There was something about these trees that caught my focus. I loved the branches and wanted to frame them again around the mountain peak. I was positioned with the sun rising behind me. The clouds were moving quickly over the mountains as they caught some morning light.
FE 16-35 GM (learning that f8 or f9 is the sweet spot for this lens)
Funny story. I had $40 in my right pocket. For some reason, I reached in my pocket after taking this shot and in a blink of an eye, the wind had torn the two $20 bills straight from my hand. I chased after the money but could only find one $20 bill. I was upset at first but then had a laugh at mother nature. The additional price I paid to get these RMNP shots I guess.
