This is one of the installations for the Mayflower 400 celebrations "that never were" in Plymouth - it's on Mountbatten Pier in the Sound. It was one of those mornings - I was too late for blue hour that I was looking for and couldn't really find a satisfactory composition so walked around to the Cattewater where the light felt better.
First shot with my new Voigtlander 65 mm f/2 APO-Lanthar. This little hot pink flower keeps hanging in there even with some early morning frost and near freezing temps this morning. Sony A7RIII at f/2.0

I was very happy how the "old" Canon EF 35/1.4L (vintage 2012) held up on the Sony via Sigma AF adapter. It might not be the absolute technical lens, but for these subjects, I frequently dialed back the contrast and details for pleasant "people pictures" under overcast and hazy sun.
Wildlife-wise it is really slow in the area where I live . Even the Mandarin ducks are nowhere to be seen. As such, I have to put up with some... other ducks and this one is from yesterday captured together with 2 other shooting buddies of mine.
Yes, I would say we have a pretty fun family, and the new in-laws are a great addition, especially groom, David. Here are a few more of our daughter Chelsea, and the groom parents at pre-wedding hair and make-up session.
Had the pleasure of capturing a friends wedding. Weddings aren't my typical genre of photography but, when friends are the ones getting married, I enjoy it.
