This was probably one of my toughest mornings of shooting. The wind was blowing 20-30 mph with cold temps in the air. I arrived at this alpine lake under darkness and waited for blue hour. I shot many frames just to make sure I had something to work with. I took several different focus stacked sets. Fortunately there were a few moments where the wind died down ever so briefly before gusting again. I framed these twisted trees against the awesome mountain peak catching the first light of the day. You can see that the lake had started to freeze.
