He didn't just know what we wanted, he knew what we would want long before we did, and made an empire selling things we today can't live without.
Personal Computer, iPad, iPhone, "app store" concept, just an amazing number of innovations, that even if you don't use Apple products, still in some way touch everyones lives today
dont really think it is a big deal, people come and go.. he had cancer... technology changes every 10 years... i feel for his family, but he remember that he recieved a liver, which may have been a total waste, and some unknown person could have had it instead and lived...
So it's sad the guy is dead and all but...I just wish people would stop talking about it on every single forum on the internet (even on a Battlefield 3 forum I checked earlier...).
Hmmm.... Never was a fan of him, his practices or his products. That said he was certainly "successful" which seems to be a sufficient metric for accolades these days.
Regardless, RIP and best wishes to his family and friends.

Take it easy man Regardless of whether the original thread breaks the rules or not, it would serve no purpose to turn it into a heated exchange. I could see that you are frustrated with such threads. So in that case I think the reasonable strategy would be either to contact the moderators or send a PM to the OP and politely share your concern. Calling out a thread this way only creates bitterness and does not serve constructuve purposes.
Maybe if certain people learned to post in the appropriate forum, this forum would not be so cluttered with threads that do not relate directly to Canon. The OP posted this on 4 different forums. He should be the one asking a moderator to move it to the Alternative Gear & Lenses Forum, or delete it from the other three forums.

Don't get me wrong, I've got an ipod, an iphone4 (that conveniently auto corrects my name from Rob to Ron, that everytime I type shit, it makes it shut, or shot, and quite a few other words (hell is always he'll),
Tip: Whenever it does an auto correction, the suggested correction is shown in blue above what you just typed. If you think that indeed what you typed is correct and should not be corrected, tap the blue text (the presumed correction). It will learn it, too.

why not think of it as a celebration of a life we will never see the like of again?
Steve Jobs, I am still too in shock to comment further except to say a profound Thank You for s life very well lived and for making the lives of all of us richer
Apple products and Mac computers rock ... and this is all thanks to Steve Jobs. Thank you Steve for making our lives that much sweeter! May you rest in peace.
