And I'm not sure, if I would have the courage to do what they did at their time!
A touching family history and not boring at all. I was thinking about that a lot, and I can't be sure either. One tends to picture oneself on the right side, but are we on the right side today?
I like the shot with the 25 best, but the 18 looks like it has a nice contrasty Zeiss rendering. I'd like to see more of it in different lighting.
Any ideas when the 25/2 is going to come out? I am very interested in it as well.

Btw, I am guessing that you might have worked early enough at NewTek that your buddies are now at Luxology. I do own modo 302, but haven't used it in a while. I guess your name is not in that, eh?
It maybe should be tho... they (Big Gay Brad) stole my interface design! (well not exactly "stole" but close enough!). Heh! The weenies!
I was involved with NT in one way or another since it's startup with DigiView tho - I guess still am. I recently turned down an offer to manage and revamp the docs.
Is Mr. Willow a stitch? There seems to be some very selective sharpening going on there.
Yep, I wondered if anyone was going to call me on that. Both those last ones are. The Willow one is 210 shots and the Island one is 120 cropped down to about 60 or 80. I was trying to go for that BG/Subject separation like you achieved. I think I failed BTW... What, I need a much smaller subject or something? Also which stitcher are you using? APG isn't so hot for trees it seems.
Bif - Very nice willow tree. Is the balster in foreground blurred in pp ?
Fly Pen - Very nice moment captured with 85. Yes, I have ambivalence towards CY28 f/2.8 I have seen better shot with this lens, so it must be about hitting the sweet spot. Z* 28 though shows more promise in general.
feto - I like the mood you captured very much. De Chirico world.
Gregg - Thank you.
Congrats on mmj 85/1.4 It looks like you got a keeper there. Beautiful shots. Flower shot shows beautiful focus transition. At f4, bokeh may be on the so called 'busy' side, but I like it very much. Your #1, #2, #3, #4 from first series, and #1, 2,3,4 from the second series are my fav Can't decide. Your kid is wonderfully active and you caught some beautiful moments there. B/W #3, #4 are beautifully done. And your tree shot is just so nice, 85 is a wonderful FL for tree portrait!
This may be a question to Carsten, but as far as I can tell from Leitax web page, MMJ Planar 85 1.4 is not on the list of compatible contax lens for nikon mount. Quite disappointing for me.
Bif - Very interesting how the oof maintains structure more than I feel I am used to seeing. I wonder this is m4/3 related. Quite a beautiful willow tree.
Yup, that's the first think I noticed about the MP100/2.8 (C/Y) and I think it's why the lens is so prone to producing that "3D look" everyone seems to like.
What's even more weird is that this lens attribute seems to also affect how noticeable high ISO sensor noise is in a given photograph. I was able to shoot my GH1 at ISO 1250 and 1600 and not see any sensor noise - and therefor not need to run detail destroying NR tools. Just about any other lens would look like crap on the GH1 at 1250/1600. And this I find incredibly strange. Here's a sample:
