Yup, that\'s the first think I noticed about the MP100/2.8 (C/Y) and I think it\'s why the lens is so prone to producing the \"3D look\" everyone seems to like.

What\'s even more weird is that this lens attribute seems to also affect how noticeable high ISO sensor noise is in a given photograph. I was able to shoot my GH1 at ISO 1250 and 1600 and not see any sensor noise - and therefor not need to run detail destroying NR tools. Just about any other lens would look like crap on the GH1 at 1250/1600. And this I find incredibly strange. Here\'s a sample:
